This Privacy Policy explains how 008 Media (“008 Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit 008media.com (the “Site”), contact us, opt in to our text messages, or work with us.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you email us, request a quote, book a consultation, opt in to text messages, or become a client, we may collect your name, business name, email address, phone number (including a mobile number for texts), billing details, and anything you choose to tell us about your business or project.

Client content. When we work for you, you may send us logos, photos, video, copy, account access, and other materials (“Client Content”).

Information collected automatically. When you visit 008media.com, our hosting and security providers automatically receive standard technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and the date and time of the request, which appear in server and security logs.

2. How We Use Information

  • to answer inquiries, prepare quotes and Scopes of Work, and provide our services;
  • to communicate with you by email, phone, or text (texts only if you opted in);
  • to send invoices, collect payments, and keep business records;
  • to run, secure, and improve our website and services, and to prevent fraud or abuse; and
  • to comply with the law and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

3. Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics

Our website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. It saves your day/night display choice in your browser’s local storage (“008-theme”) so the site remembers it; this stays on your device and is not sent to us. Our content delivery and security provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from abuse. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.

4. SMS and Mobile Information

If you opt in to text messages, we use your mobile number and consent only to send the messages you agreed to receive, as described in our SMS Policy.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of the sharing categories in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only:

  • to service providers who help us run our business (for example website hosting and security, email, text-message delivery, payment processing, and file storage), only as needed to provide their services to us;
  • to third-party platforms you ask us to work with on your behalf (for example your social media, advertising, or Google Business Profile accounts);
  • when required by law or to protect our rights, our clients, or others; and
  • in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of our business, subject to this policy.

The SMS exclusion in Section 4 applies to every item above.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy: for the length of our relationship with you, and afterward as needed for records, taxes, legal obligations, and resolving disputes. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. If you opt out of texts, we keep a record of your opt-out so we can honor it.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in California). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us, and stop texts at any time by replying STOP.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). If you are a California resident and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies to us, you have the right to:

  • know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients;
  • request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it);
  • limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use it for purposes that require this right); and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

In the past 12 months we have collected identifiers and contact details, commercial information (services purchased and billing records), internet activity data (server and security logs), and the content of your messages and Client Content, for the purposes described above. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will verify your request using information we already hold and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent with your written permission. California residents may also ask about disclosures for direct marketing (“Shine the Light”); we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.

10. Third-Party Links

Our website links to other sites, including client websites in our portfolio. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If the changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
